StakeLink: Strategic Partnership through Staking
Last updated
This guide will help partners configure a multi-signature Klever (KLV) account to participate in the StakeLink program. As part of this program, the partner needs to create and configure their KLV address, where the agreed amount of tokens will be transferred and frozen. The partner delegates rights to these tokens to another participant while retaining full control over access permissions.
Step 1: Create an Account and Initial Setup
Before setting up multi-signature permissions, ensure you have a KLV address. If you don’t have one, create it in Klever Wallet.
Step 2: Configure Permission 1 (“XPort User”)
This permission level grants access to the partner receiving delegated rights.
1. Set Permission Name
• In the “Permission Name” field, enter: XPort User (example name, customize as needed).
2. Set the Threshold
• In the “Threshold” field, enter 1.
3. Select Account Type
• Choose User (1).
4. Enable Required Operations
• Make sure to select the following checkboxes:
• ✅ Transfer (token transfer)
• ✅ Claim (claiming rewards)
5. Add Signer
• Click “Add Signer” and enter the KLV address of the partner to whom the rights are being delegated.
Step 3: Configure Permission 2 (“XPort Owners”)
This permission level allows the original partner to retain full control over the account and modify permissions at any time.
1. Set Permission Name
• In the “Permission Name” field, enter: XPort Owners (example name, customize as needed).
2. Set the Threshold
• In the “Threshold” field, enter “2” (or more if you want additional security).
3. Select Account Type
• Choose Owner.
4. Add Signers
• Click “Add Signer” and add at least two KLV addresses. These can be your own addresses or trusted participants.
5. Assign Signature Weight
• For each signer, set the Signature Weight to 1.
Step 4: Finalize and Review
1. Ensure that Permission 1 includes Claim and Transfer for the delegated partner.
2. Verify that Permission 2 contains your own controlling addresses, allowing you to revoke or modify access.
3. Save the settings according to the platform’s instructions.
Final Notes & Important Considerations
• The names XPort User and XPort Owners are provided as examples. Feel free to customize them as needed.
• Before configuring permissions, ensure that the delegated account has at least 1,010 KLV to cover the setup costs.
• After delegating permissions, transfer the agreed project token amount to the account and freeze them. This will allow your partner to start using the account for claiming and withdrawing rewards.
🔥 With everything set up, your account is now ready for StakeLink! Stay tuned for updates and maximize your participation. 🚀 Klever Doc: https://docs.klever.org/account-permissions#account-permissions
